North Nashville Woman Charged with Assaulting Two Police Officers

A 40-year-old woman, Ashlee Lusk, was arrested in North Nashville on Tuesday, December 24, following allegations of assaulting three individuals, including two police officers, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Incident at Love’s Truck Stop

The incident unfolded at a Love’s Truck Stop on Trinity Lane, where a store employee reported an attempted theft. Court documents reveal Lusk allegedly tried to leave the store with a stolen fountain drink. When confronted by the store manager and staff, she reportedly threw the drink at the manager before fleeing the scene.

Surveillance footage reviewed by responding officers confirmed the incident.

Apprehension and Assault on Officers

Police later located Lusk near Dickerson Pike and Trinity Lane, matching the suspect’s description. When officers attempted to arrest her, she reportedly resisted and assaulted both officers.

  • Injuries Reported:
    • One officer sustained a cut on his forehead.
    • The other officer suffered a bruised cheek and a neck laceration.

While resisting arrest, a glass pipe fell from Lusk’s clothing and shattered, causing additional injuries to one of the officers.

Charges and Detention

Lusk is currently detained at the Metro Jail on a $10,500 bond. She faces multiple charges, including:

  • Two counts of felony assault on law enforcement officers with bodily injury.
  • Misdemeanor assault for offensive contact.
  • Misdemeanor theft for merchandise valued under $1,000.
  • Misdemeanor resisting arrest.
